What are micelles?
Micelles are made up of molecules with a hydrophilic “head” (which loves water) and a hydrophobic “tail” (which hates water). These molecules tend to cluster so that the “tails are away from the water and the heads surround when in contact with the water.
The tails will then pass through the dirt.
How do they work?
Active cleansing agents act individually to clean the skin. To remove all the dirt you have to scrub at the risk of irritating the skin.
The micelles act like magnets that attract impurities in one gentle gesture – without rubbing. The impurities are captured inside the micelles!
